Varo turns 80

When I was about five, I went to my great grandfathers 90th birthday celebration with my dad. I saw this picture hanging on their wall and was so confused, I thought it was me! Turns out it is actually their daughter, and my grandmother, Varo. I felt like we were kindred spirits ever since.

Happy 80th Birthday {on Tuesday} to one of my heroes! We celebrated Grandma today with a family dinner and of course a Scrabble cake for the word game queen. Couldn't possibly love or admire her more.
