Battle Creek Falls

2016 will go down in the books as my favorite spring in Utah to date. I don't know if it's just that it's taken me 9 years to stop expecting swimming weather in March, or that it's the first year our very own trees have fully bloomed, but it all has me glowing! I know my babies are still babies, but I have a firm determination to ingrain in them that the mountains are our greatest sanctuary, and spring the the perfect time to worship. I stumbled upon this post about the best toddler hikes in Utah and you better believe we will exhaust this list in the coming months! Any of you brave mamas want to join me?? One of them I already knew about though and it was a lovely end cap to our spring break week. There were just enough distractions along the way to keep Winston interested and a huge payoff at the end with that waterfall. This is only the second hike he's ever completed with his own two legs and my inner outdoorsman (uh... that  makes no sense) was giving him a standing ovation. Please let this be the beginning of a beautiful pattern, even if it means I must continue to hide "buried rice crispy treat treasure" at the end of every trail we encounter.
