House Hunting Trip

S&I offered us a paid house hunting trip and we were thrilled to make a little babymoon out of it. My mom came to stay with the kids over conference weekend and we flew to Utah. We had been scouring Zillow to look at houses- the housing market was so depressing after buying our home in Indiana for so much cheaper! We felt strongly about purchasing in Bountiful thanks to many repeated impressions but it didn't seem possible according to what we saw online. We just prayed and told God he had three days to show us where we should live and went for it. Our realtor was so kind and showed us like 8 houses in our price range and I was feeling so depressed at that point but he mentioned he had one left to show us- he said I had found it and requested it but that it was for sale by owner. I did not remember that at all but after walking the house for a few minutes we knew it was our place! Evan was excited about the "guest house" potential for a gym and a movie theatre, he loved the big flat backyard, and I loved the location on a street full of kids running around with a view of the Bountiful Temple from the window. The kitchen and upstairs bathroom were original to the home (1954!) so we knew we would remodel those but it was such a blessing to know we found the right place. God is good. We also snuck in a BYU football game and a couple sessions of General Conference while in town and saw our siblings.
